Why Google will be shutting down its ALLO Messaging App ?
Google is shutting down its Allo messaging App for good. Google will soon be shutting down its smart messaging App "GOOGLE ALLO"... There are many reasons of it as announced by Google Product Chief that " Google Allo had not achieved the level of traction that we'd hope", And it is also announced in April that they working on its another Google Chat, which create a new universal standard for text messaging known as 'Rich Communication Services or (RCS)'.
ALLO will soon join the legacy of google's failed messaging app including Gchat, Google Buzz, and Google Wave.
ALLO was announced at the company's developer conference in May 2016, and after lackluster adoption, the company said in April 2018 it would be "Pausing Investment" on the App. Allo shutdown should not be a huge surprise. As mentioned in Google's statement, Allo's headline features have since made their way to the messaging app, and shutting down Allo allows google to focus on making better. Google has confirmed that ALLO will continue to work until MARCH 2019, but will be shuttered after that. Google has also provided instructions on how to Backup your chats, so you can take everything with you when Allo is put out to pasture. Google Allo originally launched two years ago, for both the android and ios phones, as the sixth messaging app from the company.
SOMETHING ABOUT GOOGLE ALLO APP
GOOGLE original intention with Allo was not all bad. Allo used the same phone number user Id trick as whatsapp, and the app did have some cool features. it was the first place you could get Google Assistant and the smart reply feature was handly.
